Meet the Owner

Meg Hetherington grew up in California.  In 2010, Meg and her family relocated to Wylie, TX. She spent 18 years teaching preschool and elementary school.

​Meg found her passion for baking at a young age helping her mom and grandma in the kitchen.  When her own kids were born, she wanted to create the best birthday cakes and sweets for them.  Sugar is her love language!  In 2019 she officially started Get Baked Wylie!!! 

​When she's not in her kitchen baking, you will find Meg busy with her teenage kids and her dogs. In 2022, Meg stepped away from teaching and has been running Get Baked Wylie full time ever since. Baking is the best job! In 2026, Meg relocated to Rock Hill, SC for her husband's career. She is excited to begin baking for new clients in the Charlotte area.
